O Christmas Tree

We jumped into the Christmas season yesterday evening with a trip to pick out a tree and then coming home to open up all those boxes in our attic with the goodies we haven't seen since last year.  We were remembering last year when Colin was just a few months old and completely unaware of what was going on.  But not this year!

He had a blast running through the "urban forest" of trees, stopping to check out different ones by shaking a branch or two and then wandering off to the next one.

While Mike was getting the tree into the stand Colin stood at the door a watched.

Even through there was a tree in our house (!) the lights were definitely the highlight of the evening.  He could have played with those strings of lights for hours.

And practically did!

When he wasn't playing with an actual string of lights he was doing his best (and often succeeding) at getting behind and all around the tree to check it out.
