Keeping up with the Mastos

Well hello faithful reader. We have not forgotten about you!

For the past week and half we Mastos have been up in the north east visiting with family and friends, attending weddings and just enjoying each other's company for a while. As a result, we had over 400 photos saved on our camera memory card and, well, that's just way too many to narrow down for a blog post or two. And, furthermore, I just don't have the energy to make enough posts to do our travels justice! We were busy just about every minute of every day and had a blast!

Here's a small summary and a few links to some photo albums. Feel free to ask us questions: we're happy to offer more commentary!

Our first stop: Wall, New Jersey-Mike's hometown. We attended a wedding of a friend of Mike's from high school, took a day trip to NYC to visit some friends and hung out at Central Park for the day, swam in Mike's aunt and uncle's amazing pool, went to the Jersey shore (only for a little bit since Colin needed his nap!) and did lots of visiting.

Next stop: Syracuse, NY-my hometown. We spent one night there on our way to Buffalo to break up the long drive. And good thing, it took almost 6 hours to get from Mike's parent's to mine and Colin only slept for 35 minutes of it. I don't think he could have lasted much longer.

And last stop: Buffalo, NY-for my sister's wedding! Jess and her (now) husband Chad recently bought a great house just outside of Buffalo that we saw for the first time last week. It's lovely and has a amazing yard complete with, that's right, an in-ground pool (remember: they live in Buffalo!) and we enjoyed hanging out there for a few days.

Friday and Saturday were filled with wedding preparations and, of course, the wedding. Buffalo's had the worst summer in I don't know how many years but this weekend was fantastic. Sunny both days and in the 80s. Jess and Chad looked great and it was wonderful to be part of such a super day.

Sunday after the wedding we had a small birthday party for Colin with most of my family including my in-laws.
