Linville Falls & Some Little Colin Stories

I realized the other day that I should be better about writing down the little things that I love about Colin these days so I don't forget about them. Here are a few of these things along with some pictures from our hike this past weekend to Linville Falls.
Every morning when Colin wakes up he has some milk and then he and I share a banana. He stands at the couch and I sit and he takes big bites of the banana while I hold it. I love watching his little face as he takes the bites.
We like to walk to the nearby park and every time we get within viewing distance of the swings, Colin starts kicking his feet in anticipation.
I like that he still likes his naps. When he's tired you can tell that there's nothing better to him than laying down in his cozy bed!
Colin likes to feed us all kinds of things: if we're lucky it's fresh food that he's about to eat.or a toy that he's been playing with. Other times he'll kind of regurgitate whatever he's been eating if he feels we look hungry. The other day he coughed up a half digested Cheerio and offered it to our cat Abe (who, if you know Abe, does not need any more food).
He will sometimes yell into an empty container or a toy cup. Usually, if he's knows we're close by, he'll offer the container for us to yell into before he yells again.
I like that, when in the mood, if we ask him "where's your blanket?" he'll find it and bury his face in it.
In the bath each night he likes to take a water container and fill it up with his bath toy animals. He dumps them out and fills it up again.
The other day he realized he could throw things. Sometimes it's a little rubber ball that keeps him chasing it around the room. Other times it's blocks, the pacifier, food from his tray. Sometimes it's a full on throw and sometimes whatever he's throwing only makes it as far as the back of his head!

I'm know most kids do similar things to all of these. But I want to make sure I remember these cute little things. Because as he's getting older and doing more, these little moments are just passing us by and I don't want to forget this special time.
