Whenever the opportunity arises Colin makes a bee-line to our laundry room door, pushes it over and heads directly to the cat food and water bowls.
Once in the room - you guessed it - cat food all over the floor.
Another favorite hot spot around the house is our pan cabinet. Usually Colin visits this place after we shoo him out of the laundry room and while we're cleaning up the cat food!
Occasionally he'll reverse the order.
More and more we'll catch Colin sneaking off into his room to play on his own. Yay! While we love that he loves to be with us and in the middle of all the action, it's great to see him gaining some independence and curiosity.
Colin's loving his new walking skills! Within the past few days he's started "remembering" that he can walk and spends most of the evening time toddling around the house from room to room and back again. It's got to be the most amazing developmental achievement we've witnessed so far.
New favorite book: "Pat the Bunny"!
He loves "playing peek-a-boo with Paul" (the little boy in the book), looking in the mirror, and, our favorite, feeling daddy's scratchy face! After feeling the little scratchy patch on the daddy character on the page, he'll reach for Mike's hand and put it to Mike's face. Too cute! We love it!
