Since it was a surprise shower and Jess and Chad were getting to Syracuse on Friday night, we stayed that night at my aunt Donna and uncle Todd's house (hence the unpacking/packing). Even after staying at mom and dad's for just one night, we pretty much had our stuff exploded all over the house. Before we left Friday evening we had fun destroying all evidence that we had been there!
Colin got to play with his cousin (actually my first cousin) Ian for a bit Friday evening. It's pretty cool that Colin and Ian are only 9 days apart but strange for me to think that I have a cousin who is the same age as my son. 
He didn't hesitate to take some of Ian's toys and claim them for his own for a while.
And here's a priceless snapshot of one of the many looks of shear surprise on my sister's face. All along we kept thinking that she might have a small clue that something might be going on this weekend. But when Jess and my mom rounded the corner of the restaurant, I knew we had pulled it off. As the crowd yelled "Surprise!" she stopped dead in her tracks, quickly did a little jump backwards and then started taking it all in. The best part was that she still hadn't realized that Mike, Colin and I were there until a few minutes later when she happened to catch a glimpse of Mike holding Colin off to the side. Even then I don't think she believed what her eyes had seen until she started scanning the crowd and finally found me!
It was so much fun!
