My sister Jess is getting married this summer and I volunteered to help her with the wedding invitations. Jess and Chad (my future brother in law) have a LOT of family and friends and so the invitation project turned real big, real fast. A few months ago Jess decided to come down to Charlotte for the long weekend over Easter. A good chance for another visit and a great chance to work on the invitations together. Needless to say, I was so glad that she was here and our work session turned out to be extremely enjoyable and much less time consuming than both of us imagined.

We started out Friday morning with alot of printing and paper cutting, a trip to Office Max to make some copies, more cutting, more printing...you get the idea. By the end of Friday night we had made significant progress and by mid afternoon on Saturday (and 136 invitations later!) we were finished!

It was one of those projects that you kind of dread when you're in the middle of it but once it's over, you kind of wish you were still working on it. We had a great time just being together and hanging out...and tedious work loves good company-so thanks, Jess.

The weekend wasn't just all work, though. We did find pockets of time here and there to just hang out and relax.

And the trip to Charlotte wouldn't be complete without a walk to the
neighborhood park...

...or watching Colin eat pieces of nature.

Happy Easter!
Looks like you were busy - and having lots of fun. Hope Colin enjoyed his first Easter!
