It's rare that Mike, Colin and I spend a Sunday together. With Mike in school part-time and our work schedules being the way they are at the moment, Sunday is the only common day off for Mike and me during the week but it's also the only chance that Mike has to dedicate solely to school work. So Colin and I often pal around together for most of the day while Mike works away at home. But not this Sunday! Mike has a big presentation tomorrow evening and has been working diligently throughout the last week and actually finished the presentation last night. He has some more preparing to do, of course, but was able to take today off from homework. And we enjoyed some good old fashioned family time!
We seized the opportunity to head out to Reedy Creek Nature Preserve for a little walk in the woods along some nature trails for most of the morning. Colin had a blast running along the trails, picking up sticks, and playing in the dirt (definitely his new favorite activity).
And some more:
Ready to hit the trail!
Dragging a branch down the trail:
And attempting to pick it up:
Looking into a little grass hut along the trail:
Riding on dada's shoulders for the last bit out of the woods. Colin LOVES his dada!
What a nice morning. Mike and I were thankful that we got to spend some time together with Colin. Our family of three is about to be four in no time at all!

Aw, looks like fun! Great pictures. Miss you guys!!
