For three years...

...we have lived with a hole in our hallway bathroom tub surround.  There was originally a window here but when we put our addition on the back of the house we took the window out and never finished this part of the project.  Three years ago!  It's finally time (and nothing like expecting your second child in just over 2 months to spark the motivation) to finish it up.

Mike started tearing out the old tub surround and getting the walls ready for tiling.  Renovating is never easy and an estimated three hour project took just about all day to complete.

Here's where we're at now.  We're basically ready to start putting up the tile and I hope to get a start on that tomorrow.

 And because our only tub is essentially unusable at the moment, we've returned Colin to his baby tub in our shower.

 He's gotten a little bigger since the last time he was in here.
