Door Obsession

The doors in our house have definitely caught Colin's attention. And a few more than others: the front door, the door to our bedroom and our bathroom door are at the top of his list. He sets up little sequences for himself periodically throughout the day and runs them on repeat.

Here's step one- heading for the targeted door:

Step two- getting in position to close the door:

Step three- about to close the door (and one of these days his fingers IN the door). Once it's closed you can hear his little fist knocking on the door to signal that it's time for someone to open it again:

And step four- emerging through the door, moving to another point in the house only to turn around and repeat the sequence.

It's fun when he starts this routine after dinner while Mike and I are finishing our meal, chatting or cleaning up. It can keep him busy for a long time!
