My Old Toys

This week we pulled out some old wooden blocks that were mine when I was about Colin's age. I'm so thankful that my mom saved a ton of stuff like this and that my dad could tolerate the pack-ratting for all these years...I know it drives him crazy! But how cool that after 30 years, they're still around and in fantastic shape.

I love dragging out the old toys for two reasons:

1: it's fun to see Colin play with the same things I played with:

and 2: it's a good old dose of nostalgia for me! I remember vividly playing with this set of blocks...and for years after I was a toddler!

Thanks, mom and dad, for not throwing these away. Here's to many more years of building!
