My friend Traci just read somewhere that when babies get to be around 8-10 months old they begin to take interest in toys that have some kind of purpose to them.

We have this toy with four holes in the top to
accommodate four
plastic balls and when you hit them with a toy hammer they fall through a series of ramps with different spinny things. Colin has never so much as bat an eyelash at this toy until just a couple days ago.

And guess what? He's 10 months!
*We're still working on the hammering.
Believe me - don't rush the hammering ... once he starts, you might be hiding that hammer! Ha Ha ... get ready to cover your ears ... Erinn has proven how Loud that toy can be! LOL
ReplyDeleteCute! I want to get Greta one of those big cubes that have all the shapes cut out of it so you can put the little blocks of different shapes into it. Know what I mean? I remember liking that toy. Colin looks pretty happy!
ReplyDeleteWell it certainly looks like this 10 month old is interested. Wish we were there to see it!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I love those new developmental moments!
