Mike and I have fluctuating work schedules these days and each our of individual schedules rely on the others. And since Mike works in dirt and concrete for most of the week, his schedule is directly shaped by the weather-mostly the rain. As a result, that makes my schedule follow the
forecast as well. So, for example, I know for sure (with few exceptions) that I will work on Tuesdays. Mike knows for sure that he has to work on Tuesday and Saturdays...the rest is a free for all. I more than likely work on Mondays (unless there's rain in the forecast-then I'll trade with Mike for another day) and so on. Probably more information than you would ever want to know but the point is no two weeks are alike, no week is predictable and there are few guarantees.
Also, with Mike in school part-time, in the "down-time" of being at home with Colin one extra day a week, it's a great chance for him to get some work done.
However, as of late, Colin hasn't been all too cooperative for Mike in the nap department. For instance, yesterday he slept for about 20
minutes, cried non-stop for 25 and, finally, slept for about 45. Not a very productive chunk of time for anyone.
On other hand, Colin usually naps like a champ when I'm home and today was no exception. Yet instead of dozing for his (usual) 1.5-2 hours, he slept for nearly 3. What's the difference? Beats me.
Welcome to my world, Mike ... I feel your pain!
