Five Fun Months

I did not have time to comment on Colin's five month milestones before we left for Buffalo, but I did want to note a few things. He's still sleeping like a champ: naps during the day and sleeps through the night (just about 12 hours a night!-thanks bud!). His reflux is about the same, his tremendous amounts of spit-up (in varying degrees of chunkiness!) is still about the same, his like of the car/car seat has greatly improved ever since our long trips this past holiday season. Some new and super exciting things are that Colin is officially rolling over. Yep, that's right. Sunday night we were hanging out with him and he just did it-with no help from us. He's still unsure of what to do once he's on his belly, so we'll have to work on that next! He's also getting better at sitting-just in general. He's never really liked being in a sitting position. Usually he won't even bend at the waist and we were beginning to wonder if he would learn to stand before he learned to sit! But I think it's coming. He sat on his own for a few minutes before, of course, falling over. Good thing that bed is soft!
He's still eating cereal, twice a day now and he's still enjoying that. He's at the stage where he reaches for things he sees, likes to play with toys and is discovering his voice more and more. New sounds each day and plenty of spit to go with it! His giggles are plentiful (and sometimes at nothing at all!) and we do everything we can to get them out of him. It's been a wonderful five months and we can't wait to see what's coming up next.
