...of Colin, that is! I don't know if you remember, but for the past three months we-ok, I-have been dreading the holiday trips up north due to Colin's pure hatred of being in his carseat. Oh, the crying and carrying-on of so many trips caused such stress and shear hesitation to "sit back to see what happens " on the 10 hour trip to New Jersey for thanksgiving. Well low and behold, that little guy really surprised us and has caused people we know to say things like, "what were you so worried about?" and "three months of worry for nothing"...there may even be an "I told you so!" somewhere in the mix, but I haven't heard it yet! Anyway, we left for New Jersey last Sunday evening around 7:30pm and Colin was awake when we got in the car. By 8:00pm, his eyes were closed and he didn't open them again until we pulled into Mike's parent's driveway at 5:30am the next day. And a repeat performance on the way back to Charlotte. He barely even stirred when we stopped for gas! What a guy!
What we figured at this point was that Colin likes being in the carseat, but only when it's moving at top speeds (speed limit speeds, not speeding speeds!)
BUT, to our great and happy discovery, Colin seems to have turned over part of the leaf on enjoying his carseat. We took him all over, back and forth from house to house this past week while visiting in N.J. and he didn't seem to mind! WOW! Good for you, Little Buddy!
Proof of the carseat sleep-fest!
Now, if he can only duplicate this on our next trip up to Syracuse for Christmas, we'll be so pleased. And if not, we can always go this route..... ;)

Glad to hear he did so well with the trip - sometimes they do the complete opposite of what we are expecting! I enjoyed the pictures - looks like you all had a great Thanksgiving!
