Great times with the Galuskis at Chirstmas

The drive home to my parent's house is a long one but worth every minute of the 12 hour overnight drive. The ride went smoothly (thanks to Mike who drove the entire way aside from the two hours that I drove while he took a little snooze) and Colin was wonderful-sleeping for most of the night except from a little awake time around 12:30am, during which he was happy and smiling, and again around 3:30...he woke for good around 7:15 and we were pulling into mom and dad's driveway at 7:30...thanks Colin! The entire ride was winter weather-free until we hit the Syracuse city limits.
We were met with the good old lake effect snow and it continued through the rest of the day. While I am glad to miss the 8 months of winter that plague upstate New York every year, I do admit the snow was pretty and it definitely felt like Christmas and wintery. Mike, of course, was in heaven! We had to take Colin out to see his first snow-I don't think he was too impressed. It's hard to tell by this picture, but the snow is almost taller than Colin-yep, we got that much snow!

But luckily the snow didn't stop us from having a wonderful week at home.
